Agency looking for an experienced ACD/CD Copy to join our incredibly talented creative team. You will partner with the ACD/Art to lead the development of creative for several of the agency’s key accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to provide leadership and guidance for the copywriters within your assigned group. You will oversee the quality of the creative and writing, as well as the efficiency of the group’s operation. You will partner with senior account management to develop compelling, differentiating brand strategies that will drive impactful tactics and presentations. Frequent and meaningful client interactions, often requiring travel, are expected.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Partner with ACD/Art, to turn critical strategic analysis into viable creative concepts. Demonstrate a level of creative sophistication that exceeds industry standards
- Write effective promotional copy for assigned brands for a variety of formats and platforms (advertisements, sales and resource materials)
- Supervise and mentor group of copywriters
- Review all creative work of group to ensure that it is on strategy, and review concepts before presentation, either internally and/or to client
- Ensure project budgets and timelines are met
- Be familiar with editorial process and OPDP requirements for promotional collateral
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of assigned therapeutic categories and regulatory requirements
- Participate in strategic promotional planning for assigned brands
- Present concepts and promotional materials both internally and to clients
- Read and interpret clinical data
- May assist in preparing for and participating in new business presentations

- Must possess standout presentation skills, demonstrating thorough understanding of subject matter. Has the ability to persuade based on scientific acumen, a solid grasp of therapeutic category, the brand’s challenges, and the personalities involved
- Strong mentoring and supervisory skills. Must be a good teacher
- Must be able to multitask, working quickly and effectively under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide insightful and creative interpretation of product research
- Ability to provide sound analysis of clinical data
- Ability to conduct PubMed searches
- Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments at one time
- Strong MAC skills
Qualifications
- BA/BS, with coursework emphasis in humanities, English, advertising, or a science
- 10+ years professional writing experience, specifically pharmaceutical advertising copywriting
- 5+ years of management experience
- Demonstrated ability to produce digital and printed creative materials
- Specialty therapeutic and/or medical device category experience preferred
