General Description:
The Digital Engagement Lead will report into the Chief Strategy Officer and will be responsible for delivery of unique customer experiences by aligning digital marketing strategy with brand and business strategies in keeping with client business goals and objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis
- Ensure that digital strategy is part of fully integrated brand strategic approach
- Provide thorough digital landscape and social listening analysis for client brands with detailed outputs including specific insights to shape brand strategies
- Lead data and analytics interpretation and influence the creation of benchmarks and metrics to ensure that marketing initiatives will produce results that optimize customer engagement
- Develop market segmentation, targeting, personas, and brand ecosystems to ensure that communications are designed to have the greatest impact and maximize brand ROI
- Serve as a resource for creative teams in the development of insight-‐ driven digital strategies/executions, including understanding opportunity and experience definition
Tactical Recommendations
- Foster collaboration among all key internal stakeholders: Account, Creative, Science, Strategy, and Innovation to develop tactical recommendations that reflect the thinking of each of these groups. Play an advisory role on client engagements
- Work with the account and client teams to help define scope and recommended approach for major digital projects
- Collaborate with leaders of account and client teams, help convince clients of the value of digital marketing indicatives to their business, including helping clients to define their digital vision. Help structure and present recommendations to senior client leadership for approval
- Provide sound business justification for investment in digital marketing (based on market trends, device usage [mobile, desktop, etc.], audience insights, past campaign data, and past experience)
- Develop CRM/eCRM/Social CRM, and targeted multichannel marketing programs for clients that deliver measured business results
Digital Thought Leadership
- Drive high level discussions on the role of digital within the total marketing ecosystem
- Help codify and publish formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching digital assignments within the firm
- Help lead digital “evangelization” initiatives
- Interact with clients in a credible fashion to identify business needs and then work with both clients and cross-‐disciplinary teams to understand, define, and build effective innovative solutions that are completely aligned with brand strategies and objectives
- Translate external points of view to add relevance to client initiatives
- Author agency points-of-view, white papers, and briefs
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in digital marketing or strategic marketing consulting
- Strong passion for and knowledge of technology and digital marketing
- Team player with confidence and integrity who will earn client and internal team confidence quickly
- Ability to thrive in a fluid environment
- Strong familiarity with digital metrics
- In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines (including audience identification and analysis, targeting, experience design, digital production, and online analytics)
