General Description
World-class consulting services and high-quality market intelligence firm seeking Director/VP of Business Development to drive future business growth either as an individual contributor or as a player/coach. U.S. based company is between $25M – $50M.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic planning, development of market share and implementation of business development initiatives to drive future business growth
- Actively pursues leads, prospects potential clients, reinforces current client relationships and identifies selling opportunities by aligning initiatives and proposals to potential/current clients’ strategic imperatives
- Leads the development of all pitches, capabilities presentations, strategic and tactical ideas, and written proposals
- Provides insight and leadership to internal team members to ensure timely delivery of services and quality project execution
- Prepares and sells additional product/service lines when added
- Possible management of direct reports
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7+ years in business development for a market research or consulting company
- Extensive experience with consumer health/personal care (other consumer areas considered) OR downstream/specialty/fine chemicals
- Proven success selling custom and syndicated offerings
- Proven success selling products and services with price-points as high as $200K and more
- B.S./B.A required and MBA or advanced degree preferred
